The city of Philadelphia has a lot to offer, especially for people who travel to the city. There are so many things to do that you can fill entire days just visiting attractions, shopping, and dining around town.
If time is a concern and you want to try to do as much as you can around this great city but need a place to get a delicious meal, consider a Philadelphia gourmet deli that uses fresh ingredients, the finest meats and cheeses, and puts a unique twist on deli food. Waterfront Gourmet has four convenient locations around the city of Philadelphia.
So what can you do around the four locations that we have while grabbing a great meal from Waterfront Gourmet during your day? Check it out!
Our original location is at Penn’s Landing and there is a lot to do on the waterfront. Penn’s Landing is home to many great places to take a walk along the Delaware River and enjoy the outside air. In addition, you can enjoy summer activities at SummerFest at Penn’s Landing or take in the view of boats on the river or get breathtaking views of the city skyline.
The Penn’s Landing location is also within walking distance of Old City and the historical landmarks that make Philadelphia the cradle of Liberty. You can stop in at Waterfront Gourmet after you pay a visit to the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center, the Betsy Ross House and much more, all showcasing the historical origins of our country in the heart of Philadelphia.
This location is a favorite for students on the go, right between the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. But even with school out for the summer, there is plenty to do in the area.
The University City location is just a few blocks away from 30th Street Station, a perfect spot to grab a bite on the go as you prepare to head to your next destination. This location is also within walking distance of the Schuylkill River, where there are a number of parks and scenic paths where you can enjoy your meal and then go for a walk, run or bike ride.
Not far from our University City location, you will find our location inside the Roberts Center on South Street. Much like the University City location, there are many nearby spots where you can have a great view of the Schuylkill River and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
This location is only open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., unlike our other locations all open seven days a week.
When people talk about Center City, this is what they mean. Located right across the street from City Hall and near the Reading Terminal Market and major Philadelphia skyline structures like Liberty Place and the Comcast Center, this is the central part of the city.
Dilworth Plaza has a lot to offer as well. Dilworth Park and City Hall Garden are located right in that area, and just across the way from Dilworth Park, you will find Love Park, home of the famous Love statue, a picturesque part of the city that has become a tourist attraction.
If you want to really see the heart of the city and experience City Hall, this is the stop for you.
While you are touring the city of Philadelphia and looking for things to do, make sure you consider stopping for food. When you do, choose a Philadelphia gourmet deli that gives you delicious food at a great price that is fresh and healthy.
For breakfast, you can get a delicious gourmet breakfast sandwich made with fresh eggs, cheese, meats and more. You can also get bagels and gourmet coffee that will start your day on a high note.
At lunch, stop in for one of the many different wraps, sandwiches, paninis or salads offered by Waterfront Gourmet and see our unique twist on the Philadelphia gourmet deli.
Finally, if you are in a pinch for dinner, you can always rely on Waterfront Gourmet. Three of our locations are open seven days a week until 8 p.m. so you can get a great meal at any time of the day.
Don’t forget that if you are hosting an event or party and need catering, we can be your go-to spot for healthy and delicious sandwiches, wraps and salads.
Waterfront Gourmet, like the city we call home, has it all and we want to share that with you. If you are going to experience Philadelphia, why not stop in to one of our locations and taste our unique take on gourmet deli food. We hope to see you soon!
